A reprovação como obstáculo ao Plano Nacional de Educação: estudo de caso em Minas Gerais

Abstract

This dissertation is developed within the scope of the Professional Master in Management and Evaluation of Education (PPGP) of the Center for Public Policy and Evaluation of Education of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Caed / UFJF). The management case surveyed addresses the context of failure in the final years of elementary school, while the obstacle to the continuous flow of students and, at the same time, the achievement of the goals of the National Education Plan (PNE)(2014-2024). The general objective of the research is to identify and analyze the school factors that determine the high failure rates in the institution and the reflexes that the failure rates represent in the students' school flow. Therefore, it is intended to answer the following research question “What are the factors that influence the failure rates of Cachoeira AlegreStation School.Elementary School Finals? To this end, it developed a research of qualitative approach, through a case study, which included a bibliographic and documentary research.The survey results point to a strong relationship between the institution's high failure rates and some intra and extra-school factors, which are highlighted in the research. It is noteworthy or greater focus given to intra-school factors, because they are unable to reach the institution to make meaningless changes to make improvements in student flow. The factors highlighted in the research are worked from the elaboration of anEducational Action Plan, whose main objective is to reduce the high failure ratesin the selected school. Given that the school in question already presents actions in this direction, it is proposed or improvement of existing actions in order to achievebetter resultseven more productive results.
