Perfil de investidor: uma análise dos discentes de Ciências Contábeis Da UFJF – campus Governador Valadares - MG

Abstract

Currently, within the financial market there are different types of investments that combine various levels of risk and return to individuals, which consequently allows for the adaptation of alternatives to the different risk profiles of investors. Thus, the main objective of this study is to analyze the investor profile of students in the Accounting Science course at the Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora - Campus Avançado Governador Valadares - MG. To conduct the research, questionnaires were applied remotely to the students, containing 15 closed multiple-choice questions. Therefore, in the answers it was observed the predominance of the moderate profile among respondents, followed by students with a conservative and bold profile. In a complementary way, the students also present the habit of saving their earnings, they search for information about investments mainly through the media coming from the modern era of technology, and they already think about planning financially in the long term, once they value the importance of investing aiming at a calmer retirement and less dependent on the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) in the future. Finally, when addressing the investments that students currently apply their money, it was observed the predominance of the savings account, and that it was also considered the type of investment that students also consider to have greater knowledge about its operation.
