Terra, ciência, encantos e modos xakriabá de luta

Abstract

In this thesis, I make a comment that intends to develop as close to the reports of Xakriabá people, both collected in the camp and in statements recorded in the bibliography, in the reports, in the works developed at the university by Xakriabá researchers and in the Xakriabá speeches that circulate on the Internet. It is the result of an year long experience of fieldwork, mainly accompanying wanderings in the territory (especially in the village of Barreiro Preto and surroundings) and also in acts of territorialization, such as trips and participation in the Terra Livre Camp in Brasília and other moments of struggle. In this way, this work is a composed narrative with countless speeches and their contexts, gathered here in a commentary that I do not intend to deviate too much from the subjects' ways of narrating, and I aim to organize ways of thinking, of territorializing and of the earth's experiences. The thesis dialogues with the anthropological bibliography produced on the Xakriabá so far, and it is inspired by the contemporary debate on indigenous “nature” policies and the approach of indigenous cosmopolitics (mainly according to De La Cadena, 2019).
