O impacto da pandemia da COVID-19 nos profissionais do aeroporto de Governador Valadares-MG

Abstract

The main focus of the present study is to address the impacts of the pandemic on the Brazilian air sector, identifying the effects on workers in the sector, focusing on the Governador Valadares - MG airport. To do so, it was necessary to get to know the airport professionals and identify the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on these professionals, as well as analyze the actions taken in the face of the identified impacts. The present research is justified by the need to understand how workers in the sector were affected and to understand the importance of this sector in dealing with COVID-19. The present study consists of qualitative research, based on data collection through documents and semi-structured interviews. With the collection of information during the research and analysis of the information, it was possible to conclude that the loss of employees tends to cause significant inconvenience, since the hiring of substitutes requires the search for qualified people and training, requiring a lot of time to adapt the employees. Faced with this scenario, those responsible for the municipality's airport chose to maintain the team, believing that the crisis could be overcome, it was decided to maintain the entire team, through staggering, avoiding agglomeration.
