| Abstract: | Introduction: The SARAH protocol has been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis of the hands. Objective: This study aimed to translate and culturally adapt the protocol of exercises of Strengthening and Stretching for Rheumatoid Arthritis of the Hand (SARAH) into Brazilian Portuguese. Methods: The study included the steps: (1) translation; (2) synthesis of translation; (3) back translation; (4) review by an expert committee; (5) pre-test; (6) presentation of the documents to SARAH creator’s; Results: The documents reached semantic, idiomatic, conceptual and cultural equivalences. The content validity index (CVI) of the instruments was greater than 0.8, corresponding to a satisfactory index. The verbal comprehension was 4.9 points for both instruments. Conclusion: The protocol requires further analyses of internal and external validity, reliability as well as reproducibility. |
