Regularização Fundiária Urbana - REURB: aplicabilidade da lei no 13.465 de 2017 em Governador Valadares-MG

Abstract

Faced with the need to regulate residents located in informal urban centers, Law no 13,465 of 2017 was created, establishing general rules with legal, environmental, social and urbanistic measures to incorporate these centers into the territorial order of municipalities. In this sense, the present work was accompanied by the study of the REURB Law to identify its objectives, the legitimate ones and its beneficiaries. In addition, it turned to the study of how the applicability of the law occurs in society and the impacts brought about with its implementation. Therefore, the article dealt with the devices of the REURB Law, the procedural phases and the municipal legislation of the city of Governador Valadares in Minas Gerais, to analyze the practical application of the guidelines of the Federal Law. In view of the above, we sought to understand the social importance of Land Regularization provided for in Law no 13,465 of 2017 at the national level and in Governador Valadares/MG, as well as its role in the implementation of the fundamental right to housing and the realization of legal security it is you who give property a social function.
