Dificuldades nas análises e planejamentos de trabalhos de conclusão de curso na área da saúde da UFJF

Abstract

Some results found in recent research proved to be incorrect and biased due to disregards in the statistical planning necessary to carry out the experiment, as was the case with some experiments regarding the use of chloroquine as treatment for Covid-19: Chen et al. (2020) and Gautret et al. (2020), this gave the idea to review End of Course Monografy’s of health related courses (pharmacy and physiotherapy) at UFJF wich were available digitally with the objective of cataloging the greatest difficulties encountered during planning, data collection, analysis and interpretation of data in order to know and suggest improvements to the graduation research process. Therefore, a bibliographic review was carried out, cataloging observed methodologies, analyzes used and verification of the adequacy of these methodologies on a case-by-case basis, providing at the end a greater understanding of what has been done in End of Course Monografy’s in the health area. The results found show that the greatest difficulties with the experiments are small samples, little specification of the statistical analysis performed, non-randomization of the analyzed parcels and lack of considerations to indicate that the results obtained apply only to the sample observed. Finally, to mitigate these nonconformities, it is recommended that the health department encourages the monitoring of undergrad researchers by a statistics course student to assist in the analysis and description of the statistical procedures performed, promoting a greater integration and communication between departments
