Uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre aeroporto, turismo e racismo

Abstract

This study consists of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) that aimed to analyze the relationship between tourism, airports and racism. Through the search and analysis of relevant articles globally, the theme was discussed in order to understand the relationship of the most frequent and competing terms, considering different theoretical and methodological perspectives. Thus, with the support of the "Iramuteq" software, it was possible to perform three analyses: "Word Cloud", "Similarity Analysis" and "Factor Correspondence Analysis - FCA". These analyses revealed: (1) the problem of surveillance and security at airports, which is often presented as a justification for crowd protection, but which can also reinforce racial and ethno-religious inequalities; (2) the relationship between racism and approaches directed at Muslim people, revealing the predominance of approaches on Islamophobia and ethno-religious discrimination in airport spaces. With this, it was highlighted the need to deepen the debate and demystify the stigmas that result in the formation of stereotypes related to racial groups, which not only weakens the tourist experience, but also leads to injustices and complications of local and even international orders involving developments both airside (airlines) and landside (airports and tourist destinations).
