Apuama hotel: alternativa de arquitetura hoteleira para o ecoturismo e turismo de negócio em Lima Duarte - MG

Abstract

Tourism has proved to be an important pillar of the world economy and has adapted to new trends and managed, little by little, to rebuild. This world scenario was reflected in the small town of Lima Duarte - MG and a demand for hotel infrastructure was identified to serve tourists visiting the municipality. This work aimed to develop design guidelines for a hotel in Lima Duarte - MG, promoting ecotourism and business tourism in the region. The city was chosen for the implementation of a possible project due to it is natural attractions and strategic location. For this, it was necessary to carry out a documentary and bibliographical research addressing the concepts, characteristics and types of tourism, exploring in particular ecotourism and business tourism, as well as the characterizations and classification of the hotel sector and, finally, the history, economy and tourism of Lima Duarte – MG. In order to establish design guidelines, three hotels were selected for a case study, highlighting their strengths and weaknesses, which supported the design of guidelines for a hotel in Lima Duarte - MG that serves different public, values the customer experience, guest and connect them with nature.
