Trabalho doméstico das mulheres: a invisibilização e opressão de gênero no trabalho

Abstract

The objective of this research is to contribute to studies of the understanding of women's invisible domestic work from a feminist perspective and with a gender focus. The topic addressed was how domestic work at home became a tool of oppression for women and that it contributed to the development of a patriarchal and capitalist system. This system was reflected in the architecture and means of production. By studying the typologies of houses over the centuries and how to generate capital, it was possible to understand the customs, culture, political and social context and how this influences the inequalities between men and women. The theoretical and bibliographic approach was based on the works of Silvia Federici, Carlos Lemos, Nestor Goulart, Helena Hirata and Friedrich Engels, as the main authors. The research presents a case study in the city of São Paulo in relation to domestic work, with a gender focus, in the transition period between the abolition of slavery and the beginning of free work and how this past of the city influences the experiences of São Paulo women in the beginning of the 21st century. The municipality of Santo Antônio do Aventureiro was presented as a place for the development of the TCC II and the guidelines outlined. It is concluded that the domestic work in the houses attributed to the female gender was an oppressive construction arising from a patriarchal and capitalist structure and that, for its development and growth, applying the gender perspective and intersectional feminist perspective, it continues to rely on this invisible work of women.
