A importância da regulação na garantia de uma transição energética justa e eficiente

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities for energy transition in Brazil from the perspective of regulatory policy. Throughout the development of the work, an analysis of the scope of regulation in the Brazilian electric sector is conducted, as well as the possible gaps present and the need to promote greater legal certainty for the development of certain energy sources. To better understand the importance of these norms in the national legal framework, this study begins with the presentation of the concept of energy transition, addressing its environmental attributes and the international agreements that establish goals for the development of a low-carbon economy. Within this context, the regulatory initiatives necessary to comply with national climate change norms and policies, the Paris Agreement, and the UN's 2030 Agenda are discussed.
