Movimento social lésbico entre a materialidade e a subjetividade: um debate conceitual em interlocução com a Articulação Brasileira de Lésbicas (ABL)

Abstract

This work was developed through a brief ethnographic immersion in dialogue with the Articulação Brasileira de Lésbicas (ABL), with the main objective of deepening the debate between the material and subjective agendas within the organization. Throughout the end of the 20th century, the category “new social movements” appears as a term to designate collective organizations that will contest cultural norms and claim social recognition, in contrast to old social movements that had the economic agenda as a central factor. Divided into three main moments, this work therefore carries out a conceptual review of the term “new social movements” and the consequent transformations of the concept “political subject”; historical contextualization of the Brazilian lesbian movement, addressing the first tensions between social organizations regarding recognition agendas, and finally, the ethnographic immersion that deepens the debate on the ABL agendas and the importance of the interconnections of material and subjective agendas as drivers of action social and constitutive part of collective solidarity.
