Reflexividade política no antropoceno: a possibilidade de radicalização da democracia em um cenário de mudanças climáticas

Abstract

Of the many crises that plague humanity at the beginning of the 21st century, the climate crisis is the only one we face for the first time. We have a vast historical repertoire in economic and political crises, wars, epidemics and cultural conflicts. However, the intrusion of natural, planetary or geophysical elements in modern human society presents itself for the first time. In this work, we seek to analyze the origin of this crisis, its intensity and the social, political and economic effects it entails for modern decision-making institutions. Thus, by identifying the main actors in this complex social fabric that the Anthropocene presents to us, we intend to discuss the effectiveness of global political actions in coping with environmental collapse, democratic models to solve some problems in this climate change scenario.
