Pesquisando com crianças em suas casas: vivência no interespaço doméstico, pandemia e reflexões sobre uma espacialidade mais que humana

Abstract

Taking place in the domestic interspace, this work was dedicated to understanding what it would be like to research with children in their domestic and private spaces, considering their relationship and coexistence with their homes and with those who live there and are part of the child's life. In addition, considering their experience maps as creation of potential spatialities, that is, understanding the creation of children based on their authorship, experience and their creative imagination (Vigotski, 2018b). In this sense, based on the concepts of experience and creative re-elaboration (Vigotski, 2018b) and through the experience maps (Lopes, 2018b) created within their homes, we sought to understand how children experience their spaces and how they map and narrate these spatial experiences by re-elaborating and recreating them. As a strategy for coexistence with children, experience maps (Lopes, 2018b) of the places of their lives were created and narrated. Thus, from their domestic interspaces and through cartography (graphic, visual, and spatial language), the children documented their experiences with their living spaces, allowing the research to witness how their authorship emerged and manifested itself. In addition, the research was also dedicated to discussing and reflecting on the process - in itself - of researching with children in their homes. Therefore, in bringing this discussion and reflection to this text, one of the objectives was also to write about the specificities of researching with children in their homes. Thus, in addition to researching spatial experiences with children inside their homes, the work also aims to contribute to the discussion about possible research spaces with children. With the pandemic, our desires and our objectives - although they have maintained their essence, which is: researching with children in their homes and reflecting on this process - they needed to expand. The suspension of face-to-face interaction changed the continuation of the fieldwork, in addition to inspiring the search for new possible ways of giving meaning to the lived experience, recognizing the intense entanglement of all forms of life. Therefore, this work also seeks other ways to try to understand the relationships between research and the more-than-human world.
