Diferentes técnicas para levantamento de seio maxilar e instalação de implante imediato e tardio: relato de caso clínico

Abstract

Currently, dental implants have been an important ally in the rehabilitation of tooth loss. In this sense, immediate implant placement has gained prominence in dentistry, since it has several advantages such as reduced surgical interventions, reduced expenses, immediate favorable aesthetics and faster alveolar ossification. In addition to this, there are surgical techniques that help to improve the stability of the implant, such as maxillary sinus lifting and grafting. The aim of the present work is to present a clinical case of a 48-year-old patient who was treated at the Maxillofacial Surgery clinic at UFJF-GV, complaining of mobility and fractures of teeth 16 and 26. Upon clinical examination, it was observed that the patient presented extensive unsatisfactory restorations, mobility and gingival recession in the aforementioned elements. Bone loss and a periapical lesion were found on radiographic examination and a computed tomography examination was requested. The aesthetic rehabilitative treatment plan included the extraction of maxillary lef molar and immediate implant placement. Maxillary right molar extraction was also proposed, with waiting 4 months after the extraction to perform the maxillary sinus lift surgery with bone graft and implant placement. The patient agreed to treatment purpose and signed the Informed Consent Form. After 14 days, the suture was removed and the temporary prostheses were installed.
