Modelagem e experimentação: estudos para desenvolvimento de roupas transformáveis

Abstract

Based on a previous investigation, which applied two-dimensional modeling to the creation of a sleeve with transformable potential that was identified from the manipulation and observation of external users, the present work aimed to build transformable garments conceived from the combination of two-dimensional modeling, the use of materiality, textile manipulation and experimentation as creative methods, expanding the first investigation. After seven experiments that resulted in a blouse, a skirt and a dress that can be manipulated and transformed by the user, the research resulted in reflections on the user's relationship with clothing, creative fashion methods and how transformable pieces can influence the intangible value of clothing, expanding the ways of seeing and developing fashion products. In addition, the work also sought to document the step-by-step process for the development of prototypes, pointing out problems and solutions and providing indications for future expansions of the research developed here.
