O estatuto filosófico da subjetividade na hermenêutica de Schleiermacher: uma análise com base em sua leitura de Platão

Abstract

From the set of texts of Dialectic (1811) and Hermeneutics (1819), we are interested in identifying what Schleiermacher considered the differential of his proposal. The philosophical principles that serve as base for his theory of Hermeneutics and other works in general. For Schleiermacher, hermeneutics is not only a set of rules, but also a kind of art; and as such, it is presented in a conceptual framework that guides its practice. In other words, the hermeneutic foundations are, for Schleiermacher, grounded in philosophical principles on the nature of thought, understanding, and language. Which, in turn, are based on his metaphysical speculations contained in the Dialectic (1811), the art of doing philosophy. Given the scarcity of portuguese-language studies on Plato and Schleiermacher, and their importance for today’s Platonism, we will attempt to develop this project through his readings of Plato’s works. Whose main ideas are concentrated in the Introductions to the Dialogues (1836).
