Doces carícias destas tuas presas: um estudo sobre monstros sedutores e design de personagem

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the existence of seductive monstrous characters and their influences and implications in the lives of those who engage in the narratives in which this type of character appears, beginning with the first narratives and mythologies recorded in Antiquity and then their evolution throughout History until the presence of these creatures in the most diverse visual and literary media of contemporary times. The discussion will include bibliographic reviews of texts relevant to the research themes and mythologies, as well as analyses of the visual aesthetics of these monsters, also considering the contexts and social discussions of the historical periods covered by the research. In addition, to further deepen and enrich the discussion, data collected from consumers or enthusiasts of narratives involving monstersexuality will also be analyzed for a better understanding of what is being studied, observing the tendency of certain types of individuals to be attracted to or identify with monstrosity, some more than others, and what these findings imply from a social point of view. Finally, as an amalgamation of the results and observations obtained, the design of an original character will be developed, inspired by the various narratives and mythological/literary figures that will be referenced throughout the course of this study.
