O direito à educação nas casas de acolhimento institucional para crianças e adolescentes: perspectivas para o trabalho pedagógico

Abstract

The object of study of this Undergraduate Thesis is the Right to Education of children and adolescents in situations of institutional care in Juiz de Fora. The general objective is to understand the role of the pedagogue in the realization of the Right to Education within the institutional care environment. The research is qualitative, document-based, and grounded in historical-dialectical materialism (Netto, 2011). The research has two hypotheses: (i) the guarantee of schooling and school attendance is a necessary but insufficient condition for the realization of the Right to Education of children and adolescents in care; (ii) the inclusion of a pedagogue in the technical team of the care service would be strategic for this realization. The results indicate that the absence of the pedagogue in the technical teams compromises the articulation between the care unit and the school, increases the team's workload, and leads to the deprofessionalization of pedagogical actions within the care setting, thus affecting the realization of the Right to Education.
