dc.description.abstract	Our study is focused on the investigation of philosopher and theologian Paul Tillich’s (1886-1965) line of thought, developed in the twenties, in his search for a place for theology in the knowledge system. For this purpose, it is necessary to analyze the conflict between religion and the concept of religion, the tension between religion and philosophy of religion, the relationship between religion and culture, themes that Tillich is dedicated in the 1920s. As support for this study, we will use Tillich’s On the idea of a theology of culture (1919), The conquest of the concept of religion in the philosophy of religion (1922) and The philosophy of religion (1925).	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	O tema de estudo desta dissertação se volta para a investigação do pensamento do filósofo e teólogo Paul Tillich (1886-1965), desenvolvido nos anos vinte, em sua procura por um lugar para a teologia no sistema das ciências. Para tanto, torna-se necessária a análise do conflito existente entre a religião e o conceito de religião, da tensão entre a religião e a filosofia da religião, da relação entre a religião e a cultura, temas aos quais Tillich se dedica na década de 1920. Para fundamentação deste trabalho, utilizaremos os seguintes textos escritos por Tillich: Sobre a ideia de uma teologia da cultura (1919), A superação do conceito de religião na filosofia da religião (1922) e A filosofia da religião (1925).	pt_BR
