Os videopoemas de Arnaldo Antunes e a intersecção entre arte, poesia e tecnologia

Abstract

From the analysis of Nome (DVD+CD), Arnaldo Antunes'(2005)collection of videopoems, recent possibilities of making poetry were investigated as well as changes in their attributes. This investigation includes the relationship between author and reader (or author and receiver), provided by the new mediathat maximize the interaction between the various forms of artistic expression (music, video, drawing, painting, literature) brought by the so-called "digital age".The relevance of this work lies in its investigation of new spaces and possibilities for literature, openedby contemporary technologies. The aim is to contribute to a better understanding of the changes experienced in the reader's perception and enjoyment –and even in the reader's status, now part of the poetic creation. The choice of the present subject was motivated by ongoing concerns about the relationship between man and machine and the social, cultural and individual changes caused by this relationship.Therefore, we shall investigate the art of Nomein its written, sound and gestural images, finding space to conceive such forms as being concomitant with literary elements and taking into consideration Arnaldo Antunes' creative, interactive and multicultural forms. These elements (writing, sound, gesture), combined with technology, allow the poetic persona great freedom of creative transformations.
