O escritor como autor de si mesmo: Luiz Ruffato na imprensa

Abstract

Based on the relation between literature and communication, this dissertation focuses on the writer´s figure and his own work built in media by journalistic interviews. The aim is searching for the visibility strategies drawn up by the writer Luiz Ruffato in the Brazilian press during his career which began in Juiz de Fora. Furthermore, the intention was also to draw the cultural journalism´s role and its connection with the readers formation. If the Literature´s history shows that the writer´s consecration passes through the literary circuit, a contemporary view on this issue demonstrates the increasing necessity to realize the meaning and cultural representation systems role, such as media, in the symbolic construction about the author and his literary production. About methodology, from academic surveys, a selection of ten Ruffato’s interviews was made on the cultural and literary sections from some chosen newspapers. The intention was to understand the interview moment as a discursive scene in which the writer suggests the journalists and readers meanings to his work, feeding his own critical fortune.
